ミッキー・ニューベリー(Mickey Newbury: 1940-2002)はアメリカのソングライターで、いろんなアーチストにいろんな曲を提供したことでも知られているひとです。

そのミッキーが1968年に出した自身のアルバム『ハーレクイン・メロディーズ』に収録したこの曲は、エタ・ジェームス(Etta James: 1938-2012)やリンダ・ロンシュタット(Linda Ronstadt: 1946-)もアルバムに収めています。
