アイルランドが目に浮かぶようです。褶曲した断崖の地層がそのまま海につながる姿、陽気にかつ雄大にフィドルを奏でるパブの常連、酒を酌み交わしながら冗談と歌で時が過ぎ、海に出ればアトランティック・バスにゴールウェイ・サーモン。

アイルランドの歌といえば、海に酒に、そして、乙女、なのですが、今回は登場しません。

作者が夫婦ということで、旦那が若い女のことでも歌にしようものなら、それはそれは大変なことが予想されます。

ということで、とても美しい曲です。
