ロッド・スチュワート(Rod Stewart: 1945-)のソロ作品、1970年発売のLP「ガソリン・アレー」に収録されている曲です。

子供の頃から路地(alley)が好きだった私は、この路地を行けばどこに出るのか確かめたくて、知らない道によく入っていきました。自転車に乗っても同じような探検をしていました。

車に乗るようになってからも変わらず、知らない道が大好きで、細い道が大好きで、わざとその手の場所に入っていきます。人間そうたやすく変わるものではありません。
