Birminghamは、イギリスだと「バーミンガム」、アメリカだと「バーミングハム」になるようです。

日本人にはおなじみです。中沢と書いて、「なかざわ」と読んだり「なかさわ」と読んだりするようなものです。神戸のように「こうべ」、「かんべ」、「ごうと」などと姿を変えるつわものもあるので、Birminghamで驚きはしません。

ランディー・ニューマン(Randy Newman: 1943-)が歌ったのはアメリカの「バーミングハム」です。なんてことない日常が描かれています。ゆったりと描かれています。
