TITLE: Simple Song Of Freedom（シンプル・ソング・オブ・フリーダム）

PERFORMER: Tim Hardin（ティム・ハーディン）

この曲はボビー・ダーリン(Bobby Darin: 1936-1973)の手によるものですが、実は1966年にティム・ハーディン(Tim Hardin: 1941-1980)の作ったIf I were a carpenterをヒットさせていて、その3年後の1969年にこの曲を今度はティム・ハーディンが歌っているのです。

だから何だ、という感じもするのですが、ボビー・ダーリンはコニー・フランシスに曲を提供するなどソングライターとして50年代後半から60年代前半まで活躍します。

そして、60年代も進むと、政治的な活動にもかかわるようになったり、家族のことで苦しんだりとするようですが、1969年にこの曲ができます。
