Born to the breed とは、「その種に生まれる」ということですから、「蛙の子は蛙」といったところでしょうか。

ジュディー・コリンズ(Judy Collins: 1939)が息子クラークのことを歌った歌です。母親なら息子に対して抱く、どこにでもあるような、包み込むような愛情です。

ただ、この息子、1975年に発売されたアルバムのB面最後に歌われたこの息子、その後1992年に自殺で人生を終えます。享年33。

親不孝でしょうか。こんな日本語はありませんが、親不幸にちがいありません。
